Somerset County Council choose Data Display for dynamic VMS

Data Display won the contract to supply, install and maintain 8 VMS signs for emergency diversion routes on the A39 which will manage the traffic flow where a new Nuclear Power Station is being built in Somerset.

The VMS signs will work on 3G and be managed by Data Displays own City Management Software which allows for remote activation messaging and monitoring as well as LED monitoring. Data Display will manage the system from Headquarters until Somerset County Council have completed upgrades on their internal network.

  • 1 LED per point
  • Amber LEDs
  • 100mm character Height
  • Text mode: 4 lines of 16 characters per line with a minimum of 2 alternating messages
  • Unit size 1860 x 950mm
  • Ability to show symbols
  • Viewing area: 1624 x 696mm
  • Autodimming
